Department of Justice and Equality / An Garda Síochána Working Group on Review of Firearms Licensing

The output from the review of the firearms legislation , carried out during the summer between An Garda Siochána and the Department of Justice has been published this week.

NASRPC has been aware of this review for some time, despite ongoing misinformation via other groups.

The Gardai published a new copy of the "Commissioners Guidelines" and

The Department of Justice published the "Working Group on Review of Firearms Licensing Report, November 2014"

We realise that some of the content is quite shocking and people may be understandably angry.

The cynics among us may ask when the much lauded "consultation" promised by the Minister and the Department occurred. We would ask the same.

NASRPC, as part of a coordinated approach by The Sport Coalition, will respond forthwith and we will keep you informed of progress on the matter.

We will be publishing more information on the matter in the coming hours.

European International - Germany 2014

Congratulations to Team Ireland Ireland finished second in the international centerfire rifle match. Team Ireland did very well overall - 8 x individual gold, 8 x individual silver and 15 x individual bronze plus international team gold in smallbore and silver in centerfire with all 11 on the squad bringing home something for Ireland. Congratulations to the entire squad, yet again, you have done your country proud.

European International - Germany 2014

Women On Target

Another very successful Women On Target session with a great bunch of ladies.

The ladies learned to shoot .22 target rifle and .22 target pistol in a safe and supportive environment consisting of classroom theory and one to one coaching on the range.

Christmas Shoot

HOHOHO yes its getting close to that time of year again where Santa pays a visit to the range!

On Saturday 28th November we will hold our annual Christmas Shoot and Dinner. Dinner tickets will be available to purchase from this Saturday at the club house at a cost of €20 each.
